2022-23 Projects

An overview of current and recent work

WEBSITE MANAGER
& MORE
SILVERKITE COMMUNITY ARTS

I have been working with SilverKite Community Arts, LLC for almost nine years (May 15, 2023 is my 9-year anniversary)! Currently, I am working remotely as their Website Manager. Key aspects of this role include creating Zoom webinars, editing and managing the website through Wix, and coming up with web design ideas to make the site more user-friendly for older adults.

In late 2022, I also started working as a Teaching Artist with SilverKite. In 2022, I taught multiple in-person Rock Painting and Mindfulness workshops for older adults. My favorite workshop was Rock Painting in partnership with the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. Attendees of the workshop were all older adults living through the early stages of dementia. Participants first went on a nature walk through the gardens, and then joined me for an hour of conversation and painting. Connecting with them is an experience I will forever cherish. In 2023, I also added teaching in-person Visual Journaling to my repertoire, and had a blast teaching an online "Celebrating Valentine's Day" workshop. While I am living in California, I am on hiatus from being an in-person Teaching Artist, but look forward to more potential online teaching opportunities

In December 2022, SilverKite partnered with the Downtown Seattle Association (DSA) to bring interactive art to their Holiday Market in Westlake Center. For three hours, four Saturdays in a row, myself and another Teaching Artist had a booth in Westlake Park where we invited passerby's of all ages to join us in ornament and card making. Over those four weeks, we created art with around 250 people!

INTERACTIVE THEATRE TROUPE
SEATTLE DINNER DETECTIVE

In October of 2022, I attended a nationwide audition for the interactive, murder-mystery dinner theatre organization "Dinner Detective". I was honored to become a part of their Seattle cast, and have loved being able to play various roles in six different performances so far. I am currently taking a hiatus since my move to Culver City, but intend to join one of their California casts soon.

DJ AND EMCEE
KRINGLE'S FILLING STATION (HOTOPP)

SOCIAL MEDIA
SELF-EMPLOYED

In November of 2022, I discovered "Kringle's Filling Station", a holiday pop-up event created by the design agency "Hotopp" located in North Seattle. As an avid lover of Christmas, I was overjoyed when I saw they were searching for a DJ and Emcee for the holiday season. During the months of November and December, I resided in their ski-ball room, where I DJ'ed, organized karaoke, and emceed ski-ball tournaments. This opportunity was not only loads of fun, but allowed me to use my performance skills in a new way. Depending on what the future holds for me in California, I would love to return to Kringle's for the 2023 holiday season!

When it reaches August 2023, I will have had six years of digital media marketing experience under my belt. While I have very much enjoyed marketing for other organizations over the years, in summer of 2022 I decided that it was time to use my skills to market myself. I started using TikTok as a platform, and have amassed almost 5,000 followers - with my most viral video gaining over a quarter of a million views. This video in particular has had multiple articles written about it, most notably in "The Sun". My Instagram account is nearing 2,000 followers, and my combined TikTok and Instgram following has allowed me to work with notable brands such as AdoreMeGood American, and Parade.
